RE: Being a spotter, 101

I had the same problem with my wife so I decided to come up with a solution. I have the truck wired for the backup camera on the back of the trailer so I bought a second camera. I put it on when backing up to the trailer and remove it when I hook up the one on the trailer. I now do it myself as the wife is packing up the inside of the trailer. It makes life way more injoyable not to start the trip with a fight.

RE: Back up camera for TT?

I installed mine the same place as on a motorhome. I have a closet right in the back middle of my trailer so that is where I went out. I then ran inside by my shower lines up to the front and went out were the wires for my converter go outside. When I got to the front I insatlled a l braket and installed a splice in it. There is a short cable from there to the truck. The truck is wired the same way but with a weather cover over where the wire is on the back of the truck. I did it this way so if I forget to unplug the camera I only have to replace a little cable and not the whole lenght in the truck or trailer.

RE: LP gas quick connect on 08 Jayflight

You can't go through 2 regulators. There is one on the front of your trailer and the bbq with the little bottles where the little bottle screws on that is the second regulator. If you can remove the one regulator on the bbq then you can get the quick connect to work. My old bbq I removed the regulator and used a gas control from a big old bbq, and it worked good. We bought a new coleman road trip grill and I removed the regulator from it and hooked up to my quick connect with juat the control. If you have any questions on how I did either one just pm me.

RE: Back up camera for TT?

I also bought my camera off of ebay, as a matter of fact I have bought 3 from him. The one on the back of the trailer is great I use it all the time when hooked up to the trailer. You can see what is behind you and with mirror extensions you get a good idea what is around you. I bought a 7" lcd dvd player with input, the camera from ebay and the wires I did myself.
The next camera I bought I made a bracket for the hitch and use it only when backing up to the trailer. I now have it figured out where I need to stop, it makes hooking up really easy to do by yourself. My wife doesn't even help me back up anymore when we are out.

RE: shock from screen door and awning arms

If it doesn't do it with the 120v unplugged, then that is likely where the problem is and I wouldn't plug into shore power until you get a chance to search out the issue. The trailer you could still use for dry camping and it shouldn't be a issue. If it still does it with the trailer unplugged I would be really careful around the trailer and keep your kids away from it until you find what it is.

RE: Coachman Micro Propane quick connect

My dad run into the same thing with his motorhome so he moved the fitting to before the regulator. You can't go through 2 regulators and make it work. I know it would be a little more work but you could install a tee and a small pipe before the regulator on your trailer and still use the part you bought. When I did mine I got a coleman road trip XLE grill and removed the regulator that came with the grill and hooked the hose straight to the grill.

RE: Remote Rear View Camera

I have bought 3 from ebay so far(the same guy), mine is hard wired on the truck and trailer. The second camera I hook onto the hitch for when I am backing up the the trailer. The third one is on the back of dad's motorhome.

RE: condensation on windows

Do yourself a favor and go buy maxx air vent covers for all your vents, leave the vents open and you shouldn't have a problem anymore. I have the winter pack on ours, it has done this a couple of times before I put on the covers and since then no prblem.

RE: LED TAILLIGHTS

I went to the international dealer and got four four inch round led lights and cut them into the back of my trailer. I also put a plate holder and light on the back, then replaced all the clearence lights with led ones.

RE: what TV is oulling your 27BH

We tow our trailer most of the time with our expedition as seen below. I also have towed my trailer with a 05 ford f250 6.0l psd and right now I am using a 07 dodge 2500 cumins. I can't wait to get my trailer behind a new ford f350 6.4l psd. In my opinion the ford did a way better job of towing than the dodge but both do beat the expedition for towing hands down. DIESEL all the way.

RE: Washing travel trailer

Where ever you wash your trailer weather it be a car wash or at home to get bugs off the front of it I use old dryer sheets. Just one thing to make the job of cleaning easier.

RE: Is the POLAR PACKAGE a mice breeding ground?

I had a wilderness 2 trailer years ago and the mice would run up the power cord and into the trailer. When we bought our new trailer I bought spray foam, silicone, and seal wool but I still have it. Triple e did a great job of sealing up the trailer around everything. Our trailer also has the winter pack on it, and around the cord it has a plastic box mounted to the wall and floor. Our trailer was built in Manitoba so maybe they have more mice there than some of the warmer states.

RE: hood latch for holiday rambler

I have called a holiday rambler dealer, they know less than I do and can't find anything about it without a serial number. I now know they are made by southco and I can get them out of Calgary Alberta. Thanks

RE: generators

Does anyone know anything about a diesel gen set compared to the honda or yamaha 3000? Much like the ones in the big diesel motorhomes. I am planing on getting a ford diesel to tow the trailer in the fall and I am thinking about installing a diesel gen set in the back of the truck.

hood latch for holiday rambler

I am looking for the manufacture of the hood latch for a holiday rambler motorhome. I don't know the years but the latch is the one you push the circle in the middle of the latch and it pops open. It sits really flat on the hood. Any information on it would be more than I have now. Thanks
